Five Nights at Freddy's Ransomware or Fide Night At Fready's Sedy's is a subgenre of digital horror, which contains supposed gameplay of pirated and/or hacked FNaF games (which are not real), it can be recognized from its bad grammar, AI generated elements and oldschool aesthetics, which make the videos uncanny.

The origin for the idea of this video is most likely The Stingray Malware, which was a real malware disguised as an old FNaF 2 mobile port that existed between 2014 and 2015. However, the video that gave birth to the FNaF Ransomware genre is "Fide Night At Fready's Sedy's" (Also known as FNaF 1 Ransomware), which was originally posted to YouTube but got deleted by YouTube later because of an unknown reason. After that, many other creators made their own versions of the format, with different games in the FNaF Franchise.

Appearance & Video Format[]

These videos usually start out like the normal early/mid-2010s video, with bandicam footage and notepad or Windows Movie Maker being the only way the creator would communicate with the viewer. The person in the video would start off by saying that they found a pirated version of FNaF. The said game, when opened by the video creator would look much more different than the game its trying to disguise itself as. The menu would look very distorted with loud and corrupted sounds, with the site that created the ransomware being in one of the corners. After the night starts playing, the office looks distorted and pixelated. The gameplay is choppy, and lacks a lot of elements and functionality from the original game. As the game is being played, it would get more and more corrupted, with the game eventually becoming completely unplayable. The night usually ends in the player getting jumpscared. Following that, the game would infect the players computer and demand ransom in cryptocurrency, with the reasoning that you "stole" from them. This screen is usually accompanied with an unsettling version of a character from that game.
